It has been a year since I’ve published 8 Steps To LinkedIn Success, the first guide to Linkedin. Since then (and probably as I’m writing this) Linkedin has changed in many ways: design, functionality, capabilities, and obviously the number of users (around 120,000,000 at time of writing, August ’11).
This edition of the book includes as many new features I could think of, but with them same attitude I had towards LinkedIn, networking (offline and online) and business attitude I had all along. For a limited time only, this ebook is for your eyes only, not accessible to the general public. It may be…
As always, feedback will be highly appreciated.
These people already read my book:
“ Thanks for sharing. I really like it. Well done. Enjoyed the read, found it easy and engaging – and lots of useful info and tips.” Alan Greenstein, Executive Director at The IQ Business Group
“I have applied all of the tips and now my LinkedIn profile is sharp, optimised and up-to-date. Thanks, Raz. You’ve saved me time and money sorting out Linkedin.” Robin Dickinson, Business consultant at RAD International Pty Ltd
“Perfect timing Raz. Just this morning, I suggested to a client (a lawyer) that he do more on Linked In to help him step into the spotlight as an expert in his field. Now, I can just refer him to your comprehensive guide. Totally agree with your advice to “fish where the fish live”. Your section on Answers will help people who’ve been on Linked In for years but never taken full advantage of this method of attracting the spotlight. “Tsufit, Author Step Into The Spotlight! : A Guide to Getting Noticed
“Linkedin is an excellent online networking platform that more people should take advantage of. Raz does an great job of highlighting the need to build an interesting professional profile and “polish up their 118,” by doing so – something that will further anyone’s business or career. Easy to understand, practical book!”
Jeffrey Hayzlett, Kodak’s former Chief Marketing officer and Author The Mirror Test.

Man, this is amazing.
I am actually promoting you through every job hunter and IT person I know, since seems like loads of time when I think of something I could help this person is the fact that I know you, the expert of LinkedIn.
and I bet you’ve spend quite a effort to debug this book showing on site this way.
Thanks for your kind words, O.R.
Hope your friends will find this guide valuable..
Very good stuff here Raz, thanks for sharing this. I would love a copy when it goes live so I can luxuriate over it…
Si
Raz,
It looks great. Happy to pass the word around.
Cheers
Thomas
Thanks Raz, a really cool little guide full of great tips to help keep you on track with LinkedIn. I’ve forwarded the doc onto another colleague who is constantly pained by LinkedIn, I think she will like it. Remember to keep me posted on any new developments. Also, I enjoyed viewing the doc as a magazine. You can print it but only as individual pages, right? I really wanted to print it out in its entirety but I guess I’ll have to wait until it goes public….
Thanks for passing the word, Jo. I only made this available to view only to my own LinkedIn contacts, therefore it isn’t available to download.
Excellent RAZ look forward to picking your LinkedIn Brainchild – Cheers Seb
Thanks Seb…
This book is a must read for any business interested in social media. Raz, you comprehensively cover all aspects of LinkedIn. Great job in explaining both recruitment and advertising options!
WOW, Thank you, Slade *blush*. Happy you liked it.
great Read Raz – I have seen a lot of LinkedIn “how to” guides and most are only useful to wrap the rubbish in!
Your book nails all the critical points AND does it in a funky way
Cheers

“helping accountants become happy”
Thanks for that feedback, Tim – much appreciated
Raz,
This book is great. What is your view on making contacts visible or private? I had mine visible but changed when a new contact started “mining” my network.
James
James, thanks for the compliment
In my view, I connect to people I can help, can help me, or can help someone I know. In my view, my connections are open, which allows me to make introductions within my network. If one of my connections need to contact another, I’m happy to be a facilitator. If you have the time to be “Mining” my connections – good luck to you. Since you don’t know the nature of my relationship I have with my connections, you can’t determine whether they are clients, friends, or my sister in law.
If you manage to find someone, who is my client, and make them yours, just based on an approach on LinkeIn, I don’t deserve to keep them anyway…
Great guide Raz
With so little concise business orientated information out there about LinkedIn your guide really hits the spot.
A facebook specialist told me recently LinkedIn is the new black in connectivity with a renewed enthusiasm from y-Genners. I expect this guide to even more popular than your last one.
All the best with it.
Kind regards,
Tony
Thanks Tony, I hope many Gen Y’ers will put more time and efforts into growing their business network – LinkedIn is a great facilitator for it.
Raz, that is a very impressive publication, i’m sure linked in themselves would struggle to do better.
Very useful tips and will certainly make use of them.
Thanks
Dean
I happy to hear that, Dean! Let me know how you go…
Hi Raz, I always learn something new after reading your material. This is another fantastic piece of information for any professional. You really convey the secrets of success to LinkedIn in an easy digestible ebook. Awesome content, and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your kind words, Danielle. Very happy you find this useful…
Hi Raz
Looks sensational.
Let me know when it is in print please as I would love to have a read through and find out more about connecting via social media. Richard
Richard, it is only available online, and have limited access (only to my Linkedin connections).
It’ll be available to download and print next week.
Wow Raz, this is the LinkedIn Bible! So many people I know will benefit from this, I can’t wait to share. Well done.
Thanks Tamara! It will be available to the public next week – please share all you want
Wow, big read and thoroughly got some benefits out of it, thanks for the sneak peak and I will certainly be happy to help promote once its made avaliable
Nathan
Thanks, Nathan.. few more days
Hi Raz, I have been asked more frequently for advice on how to approach LinkedIn profile creation and management, especially by senior and executive job seekers. Your eBook succinctly articulates all the key pointers and considerations to make the most of a LI experience, and your writing style is refreshingly frank and down to earth. I can’t wait for this eBook to go live so that I can pass on the link instead of trying to do a second rate job of giving my own LI advice.
Melanie
Hi Raz, Its always wonderful when someone I know personally does something really, really good, as with your ebook.
Coz then I can bask in a little reflected glory and say to others, “Look at this excellent work from my friend Raz- this is just what you need to read.”
Congratulations, this is very useful. How can I get a copy to download for my own reference?
Best, Shane
Hey Shane – thanks so much for your feedback! This is only a sneak-peek. It will be available to download sometime next week. Hang in there
Just like your presentation on the subject, this information is clear, comprehensive and useful.Im looking forward to finally updating and creating a complete professional profile.
Thanks for Sharing
Elizabeth
Fantastic to hear! Let me know when your profile is ready…
I can’t believe it has been a year since you launched this book, and here I am 12 months later – revisiting the site as the content is still relevant and it’s necessary to keep promoting the principles.
