Work, family, career choices, health&#8230; the list continues&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>2012 has some other significance for me, as I&#8217;m turning 40 half way through the year. For some reason, the big 4 0 is a turning point for many people, so I guess that has some impact on me as well. This milestone in my life brings a lot of questions, and not too many answers. In the next week or two, I&#8217;ll take some time off, go to a remote location (no internet or phone reception), and reflect on the past 40 years, and try to make some plans for the next 40. Someone once told me that <strong>the best way to predict the future, is to create it<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>By &#8220;creating the future&#8221; I assume he meant: set some goals, have something to look forward to, have a road map to get to a desired destination. At an earlier stage in my life this didn&#8217;t really mean much.. I went day by day, without a clear direction, and just got by. I think I grew up in many respects, as age, experience, and having kids give you different perspective on life.<\/p>\n<p>I few years back I&#8217;ve put together a simple document, to help me clarify my wishes, and wants, and make them achievable goals. As I said before, I&#8217;ll be taking a couple of days off this holiday season, and fill it in, planning for next year, and the following years.
