Today I read yet another article by an SEO expert<\/a>, about the importance of brand and networking (this is the actual title!).<\/p>\n

Let’s get something straight:<\/p>\n

PR don’t create<\/strong> brands. PR promote<\/strong> brands.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Some Personal Brand examples:<\/p>\n

Richard Branson<\/strong> – after over 40 years of diligent and hard work, Sir Branson is someone to look up to in the personal branding area. He has DONE a lot to get there – the publicity came afterwards.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Michael Jackson<\/strong> – became a household name (during and) after decades of hard work, producing original music, dance moves, and facial attributes. The publicity came with it!<\/p>\n

It’s seems like there is a trend going on, of people wanting to have their 15 minutes of fame (Andy Warhol<\/a>‘s prediction comes true),\u00a0 and blowing a bubble around them, saying – Look at me! I’m now famous (for being famous)!<\/p>\n

There is no real substance behind it. People just want to be known. Not for anything in particular – just attention seeking.<\/p>\n

Look at programs like “the Million Dollar Expert” for example.<\/p>\n
